We seek an outstanding and innovative Finance Manager to join our team at Walthamstow Academy. As the Finance Manager, you will support the Principal in all financial areas. You will undertake day to day duties relating to finance, administration, and resource management in the Academy. We will be responsible for maintaining the Academy’s financial systems and accounts, ensuring smooth running of the Academy’s finance system, and compliance with finance regulations and policies.

Main Responsibilities include
Maintaining all the Academy’s financial systems and accounts, ensuring compliance with finance regulations and policiesEnsuring timely production and issue of financial reports and returns as required by the Principal and the Governing BodyProviding financial assistance to support effective control by ensuring reconciliation of the purchase ledger.With support from United Learning, preparing the annual budget. including financial forecasting, expenditure projections and analysis of spending trends to support effective financial planning.Raising invoices, preparing sundry cheques for signature, checking supplier statements, issuing receipts and ensuring expenditure is within budget.Ensuring timely completion of control accounts.Managing income from premises lettings, funding streams and outside bodies. Liaising with suppliers regarding payments and statements. Having overall responsibility for the receipt, safekeeping and banking of all monies received by the Academy. Ensuring budget holders’ compliance with appropriate financial regulations.
