About this role
Reporting to the Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing land and environmental planning expertise related to route planning, consultation and regulatory approvals for transmission and distribution electrical infrastructure. The Planner, Lands will compile and analyze relevant information for routing & siting; consult internal and external stakeholders potentially affected by projects; resolve issues of conflicting interests; submit applications and obtain approvals from regulatory bodies such as Alberta Environment and Parks and the Alberta Utilities Commission. The Planner is responsible for implementing environmental policies and initiatives of regulatory agencies and ATCO across the Land Planning group and assigned projects.
