Compensation: $20.50/hr
A Warehouse Associate performs the loading and unloading of delivery trucks and moves and stores materials and products.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
(50%) Loading Trucks
Complete dough schematic to indicate quantity and truck location of dough to be loadedRemove empty trays from the trucksThoroughly clean (sweep, wash, and sanitize) cargo area of truck to ensure sanitary storage area for product transportPre-cool cargo area of truck to company specifications prior to loading productLoads trucks using load worksheetLoad as per company specifications to ensure maximum efficiency and loading accuracyDate all loaded product with the current dateUse safe work procedures to move product from racking to truck, using warehouse equipment such as a forklift or two-wheeled cartUse “First In, First Out” (FIFO) procedure while picking product to ensure proper rotation of existing stockSecure load within cargo area of truck through the use of load bars or strapsLoad fresh pizza dough onto trailer as per the dough schematicAssist drivers where needed with pre-departure checksFollow double check procedures for loaded trucks to ensure 100% accuracy(15%) Picking
Pick and palletize customer ordersEnsure that product is loaded onto the pallet in such a way as to minimize the potential for damage during transportationLoad product as per company specifications for frozen, fresh, and dry separationFollow double check procedures for skids and orders to ensure 100% accuracyWraps skids in appropriate shrink wrapLabel skids with customer label indicating address and delivery temperature requirementsComplete applicable Bill of Ladings(15%) Receiving
Receive incoming product shipments and compare vendor information to the distribution purchase order to ensure that the correct quantity is receivedComplete receiving log and records lot numbersStamp product casing with delivery receipt dateUses “First In, First Out” (FIFO) procedure when receiving product to ensure proper rotation of existing stockNotify Warehouse Manager to any discrepancies in product amounts received(10%) Sanitation
Maintain a safe and clean working area at all timesComplete daily warehouse cleaning checklistEnsure boundary lines are cleaned dailyConduct a daily cleaning of the entire warehouse floor using the floor scrubberEnsure garbage cans are emptied dailyCollect cardboard and place into compactor(10%) Inventory
Ensure that all skids and trailers that are shipped are 100% accurateSeparate, document and complete the damaged or spoiled product paperwork and get the Warehouse Manager’s authorization for disposalConduct a 100% physical inventory count dailyComplete applicable re-counts to ensure inventory is 100% accurate at the end of dayOther duties as assigned High School Diploma or GED1 year of warehouse, production or manufacturing experience is preferredForklift experience is an assetHigh attention to detail with the ability to count, check and confirm quantitiesProactive attitude and takes initiative to prevent issuesTeam oriented and safety mindedAvailable to work shifts that may be scheduled anytime during a 24-hour day, over any 7-day periodPhysical Requirements
Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds on occasionAble to perform heavy pushing/pulling of productAble to balance on ladders, on top of platforms, and equipmentAble to work in refrigerated conditions or extreme temperatures as well as work in an environment with exposure to loud machinery and vibration, both indoors and outdoorsAble to work around yeast and flour Paid Holidays and Vacation
