About this role
We are looking for a registered social worker who has an in-depth and expert knowledge of legislation and policy especially in the field of safeguarding. The role is within a busy, energetic and fast paced team to deliver quality person-centred safeguarding practice to the adults in Cornwall. We are seeking a committed, compassionate and knowledgeable practitioner to join the safeguarding service as a Safeguarding Risk Manager. The Safeguarding Risk Manager, under the supervision of the Safeguarding Service Manager supports the wider team across the whole of the Safe and Caring Communities Directorate as an expert in the field of Adult Safeguarding. The risk manager will undertake duties including the chairing of Safeguarding conferences, MDTs, and work using the My Team Around Me approach, deputize when required at MARACs/MAPPAs/MACE. They will hold a case load and have oversight to quality assure the work that is being undertaken by others under our part caused agreements.
