About this role
Cohu is a global technology leader supplying test, automation, inspection and metrology products and services to the semiconductor industry. Under general direction, the Buyer/Planner utilizes a thorough understanding of purchasing, planning, and materials management principles to support the Company's production, engineering, NPI, and operational requirements. Responsible for analyzing and responding to MRP signals, planning material requirements, procuring materials and services, managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and terms, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring material availability to support production schedules and project timelines. Serves as the primary interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery, cost competitiveness, quality, and continuity of supply while maintaining system integrity and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
