Job Purpose To ensure workshop discipline, efficiency, productivity, the timely completion of vehicles, and the highest quality of repair work. Key Responsibilities
• Ensure clear, accurate, and timely communication between the workshop, parts department, reception, and quality control teams. • Ensure all labour and material resources used are correctly recorded against each job card. • Maintain up-to-date progress records for every vehicle undergoing maintenance or repair. • Maximise technician productivity and workshop efficiency. • Allocate jobs to available technicians with the appropriate skill level and expertise. • Assign work in a manner that ensures committed delivery times are achieved. • Notify the Reception team promptly when promised delivery times require amendment due to additional authorised work, parts delays, technical difficulties, or other unforeseen circumstances. • Communicate all changes affecting a vehicle to the relevant person or department, including completion times, parts shortages, additional work requirements, warranty claim rejections, vehicle damage, delayed diagnoses, and similar issues. • Review warranty job cards accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring fault codes and repair descriptions are correctly recorded and the job card is properly closed. • Monitor technicians' performance, productivity, and efficiency on a daily and weekly basis. • Track standard repair times and provide feedback to management where such information is missing from manuals or system records.
Educational Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related mechanical field. Work Experience
• 3–5 years of practical experience within an automotive dealership environment, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. • 3–4 years of experience working as a Team Leader. Competencies
• Strong ability to multitask and effectively delegate responsibilities. • Excellent organisational skills. • Strong time management skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Language Requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. • Fluency in Arabic would be an advantage.
