Job summary
Woodseats Medical Centre is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiatic and motivated Nurse Team Leader to join our growing practice. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and leadership of the Nursing and HCA team and management of clinical processes within the practice.
The role will provide clinical and operational leadership, with a focus on being CQC ready.A key part of the role will involve service development, quality improvement, audit leadership, and governance, alongside supporting staff development, competency growth, and fostering a positive, inclusive team culture aligned with Practice values.

The post is a permanent position working 22.5 - 30 hours.
Woodseats Medical Centre is a forward thinking, friendly, training practice, with a growing list size that is currently around 12,800 patients.
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Nurse to lead our Nursing and Health Care Assistant Team. The successful candidate will be a qualified nurse, preferably with experience in general practice. Candidates from secondary care and/or district nursing backgrounds would also be considered.
We are happy to support any training needs and innovations that will help the practice progress in the future, especially in the areas of long term conditions and chronic disease management.
The ideal candidate should have experience of working within a Primary Care environment and particularly in chronic disease management, cytology, travel health, vaccinations and immunisations.
This is a permanent post for 22.5 30 hours, with salary and hours negotiable, which can be discussed at interview. We also offer 6 weeks annual leave and a full NHS pension package.

Job description Job responsibilities
The post-holder will provide effective leadership and develop the practice of the nursing and health care assistant team in the provision of assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice to patients.
The post-holder will develop and ensure that the nursing and health care assistant team work with practice-agreed protocols and guidelines to provide treatments to patients both independently and in participation with general practitioners, nurse and health care assistant colleagues.
The post-holder will have the required level of training and competence and will work within patient group directions where these are available.
Management responsibilities:
Enable the nursing and health care assistant team work effectively and provide a high quality service to patients and to work effectively with other agencies.Identify the workforce that is required to provide services to meet the needs of the patient population and negotiate with the practice management team for this workforceMonitor and advise on the effective use of physical and financial resources by the practice nursing and health care assistant teamEnable the practice nursing and health care assistant team to apply and improve clinical governance and risk management systemsLead and monitor the development and implementation of policies, standards and guidelines across the practice nursing and health care assistant teamAnalyse, interpret and report data on health and well-being, related needs and service useAllocate, co-ordinate, monitor and assess the work of the nursing and health care assistant team and individualsRecruit and select staff to meet the health and well-being needs of the practice populationSupervise and assess staff performance and developmentOffer and provide clinical supervision to other members of the practice nursing team and act as a clinical ''expert''Develop a working environment that promotes healthy, safe and effective work outcomes
Clinical responsibilities:
