Project overview

The Department of Psychology is seeking a full-time research fellow to develop and disseminate a short training module on the psychology of threat and performance. The project will translate contemporary research into online and in-person workshops for professionals working in hazardous environments.

Role

The role will involve developing materials for both workshops and online modules on the effects of threat/stress on performance. The successful candidate will liaise with key stakeholders in the military and third sector, and conduct interactive workshops with a wide range of different professional groups. The post will also involve designing and conducting survey-based research to evaluate the impact of the training modules.

Skills, Experience & Qualification needed

Candidates should have a first degree in psychology or a closely related discipline.

Candidates should have a PhD in psychology or a closely related discipline.

Candidates should have a strong track record of liaising with military or third sector organisations.

Candidates should have experience training personnel for work in high pressure settings (e.g., military, first responders, law enforcement).
