The role
This is an exciting opportunity for a library professional or someone seeking to start a career within the library sector, to work with the Cambridge West Team, supporting library services, contributing to the needs of a diverse academic community within an innovative and forward-looking setting.
As Senior Library Assistant you will
Assist with the administrative and promotional support of the library ensuring a welcoming environment. Develop physical and electronic resources including guides, documentation and promotional posters for the library and online media. Provide support to library users at the West Hub and across the site. Presenting teaching sessions and one-to-ones to users.
What we are looking for
A professional enthusiastic about customer service. Proactive and innovative in creating a welcoming library environment and experience. Enthusiastic about delivering informational skills and inductions. Flexible to work at and visit multiple work locations.
What we offer
Flexible working arrangements are available for the 21.9 weekly hours, allowing pre-agreed working arrangement spread over a minimum of three days and up to five days. Mondays and Fridays are key working days for the operational needs of the library. Generous annual leave allowance of 36 days if working across 5 days.
