About this role

Join the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration South-West (ARC South-West) as a Research Fellow, contributing to innovative research that improves the lives of people living with dementia and neuroprogressive conditions.

Based within the Community and Primary Care Research Centre at Plymouth Science Park, you will work in a supportive interdisciplinary team, leading and contributing to mixed-methods research across study design, delivery, analysis, publication and dissemination. You will collaborate with academic, clinical and third-sector partners, support funding applications, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and help translate research findings into practice and policy.

This full-time working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2031.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your research profile, lead publications and grant applications, and take responsibility for research projects and work packages.

We are looking for candidates who:

Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in health services research or a related discipline. Have experience working with people living with dementia or progressive neurological conditions. Possess strong mixed-methods research skills and knowledge of UK health and social care research. Have a developing track record of publications, grant applications, research project management, and collaborative working.

We welcome applicants with expertise in complex care, person-centred care, or related fields.

The role requires attendance at the Centre one day per week, with travel across the South-West for research activities.

Due to the nature of this role, a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service Check will be required.
