About this role

PHWT is a publicly recognised private university in Lower Saxony, the west of Germany. We offer dual study programmes that combine university studies with work placements in cooperation with around 200 companies, including multinationals.

We are seeking a candidate with a proven background to focus on the growing need for business transformation at the intersection of digitalisation and sustainability, within one of the following business areas:

Controlling Finance Human Resource Management Marketing Strategic Management

Business Transformation is to be represented in research and teaching, mainly in our programmes in Business Administration, Business Informatics and Computer Science.

Successful candidates will be able and willing to deliver courses in both German and English. German is essential for our collaboration with companies in the wider region. These offer numerous opportunities, especially for research, we explicitly expect. You will be experienced in securing and implementing third-party funded and collaborative projects with partners from industry and academia. The professor will be expected to engage in research and teaching, participate in academic self-governance and collaborate with PHWT’s partner companies, also for the transfer of know-how.

You have a PhD, peer-reviewed publications, a professional network and will have gained a minimum of three years of practical experience outside higher education. PHWT is subject to Section 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act.
