About this role

Specific Purpose Whole Time Post

(anticipated duration 12 months)

UCC wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Medical Education. Reporting to the Head of the Medical Education Unit, the Lecturer in Medical Education;

will contribute to and assist in the delivery of research led teaching, assessment and examining on courses in the School of Medicine, with a particular emphasis on undergraduate research; will engage in productive research and scholarship, including the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research; will participate in the administrative activities of the Medical Education Unit, the School of Medicine, and the academic life of the College and University; will carry out other duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned by the head of discipline/department/school.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer (Above the Bar) Salary Scale: €80,776 - €104,610 (Scale B) / €76,852 - €99,378 (Scale A).

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
