About this role
TITLE: Assistant Soccer Coach REPORTS TO: Head Coach, Principal and/or Superintendent PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
• Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
• Plans and schedules, with the head coach, a regular program of practice for each student.
• Assists the head coach in scheduling all intramural and interscholastic contests.
• Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms as appropriate.
• Inspects the facility or area to ensure safety conditions in which assigned sport is conducted are appropriate.
• Helps enforce the established performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition in the assigned sport.
• Helps enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and establishes and oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual pupils.
• Helps to supervise paraprofessionals when assigned to the coaching staff.
• Participates in those functions and activities as described in the regular teacher job description.
• Performs related duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the head coach, Principal, or Superintendent.
• Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics.
