School Bus Driver
JOB TITLE: School Bus Driver
REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
This position is to transport a student from Bloomington to BNLHS during the school year. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporation Bus Driver
• Driver is responsible for a pre-trip before each route. The driver will check for leaks and irregularities related to the safe transporting of student riders.
• Driver is responsible for a post-trip after each route. The driver will check to make certain all students are off the bus. Drivers will also disinfect their bus after the AM and PM routes.
• The Driver is guaranteed 5 (five) hours per day.
• Driver will drive a specified route.
• The Driver may be given extra duties along with the specified route.
• The Driver will contact parents with route changes.
• The Driver will keep the route sheet current.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
Certification
• The Corporation Bus Driver must possess a CDL Class B with no airbrake restriction, with a Public Passenger Endorsement and a School Bus Endorsement.
• The driver should also possess a yellow card (or be willing to earn a Yellow Card within 1 year).
• Pass background check
• New Hire Checklist completed
Skills & Knowledge
• The Corporation Bus Driver must have a clean Motor Vehicle History.
• The Driver will be subjected to a Pre-Employment Drug Screen.
• The Driver will be subjected to random Drug and Alcohol Screens.
• Must be able to read a map and route sheet.
• Driver must be on time.
Experience
• Experience driving a School Bus with the ability to obtain a Yellow Card.
