Compensation: $25 per hour Hours: 5.75 hours per day Monday -Friday Qualifications: Valid Ohio Teaching License in one of the following areas:
• Early Childhood Intervention Specialist: (P-3) • Primary Intervention Specialist (PreK-5) • Early Childhood (P-3) with Prekindergarten Special Needs Endorsement or willingness to obtain before August 25, 2026 • Primary (PreK-5) with Prekindergarten Special Needs Endorsement or willingness to obtain before August 25, 2026
Responsibilities and Expectations:
• Perform all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Austintown Local School District Policy and Procedures • Deliver targeted interventions in early literacy, numeracy, language development, and social-emotional skills • Develop and implement individualized learning plans based on student needs • Use evidence-based instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistency in student support • Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust instruction accordingly • Foster a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Special Education, Building Principal, and/or the Superintendent
The successful candidate must have the following on file before starting:
• Appropriate and valid Ohio teaching credential • Current favorable State and Federal background checks • Official Sealed Transcripts • Ohio Auditor of State Fraud Training and Reporting • Negative drug screen result
