About this role
The FIRST Tech Challenge Assistant Coach will be responsible for all aspects of their assigned FTC team. Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to,
• Promoting FIRST Tech Challenge opportunities within the school district.
• Supervising students at all team meetings.
• Recruiting students for their team and keeping team roster records.
• Helping to recruit mentors for their team.
• Coordinating meeting times and locations with other FTC teams.
• Coordinating equipment and material resources with other FTC teams.
• Submitting parts and materials orders to the FTC Head Coach.
• Arranging Team Sponsors through Grant Requests to fund the activities of their team.
• Communicating with other FTC coaches, the district STEM Facilitator and building Principal(s) about team events, organization and resources.
