Job Title: Summer Bus Washer - Student Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Director of Transportation Pay Grade: $15.00 / Hour Dept./School: Transportation Date Revised: 5.20.2025 PRIMARY PURPOSE Responsible for washing the interior and exterior of District buses. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: • Must be a current Dripping Springs High School student and at least 15 years old Special Knowledge/ Skills: • Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions • Ability to communicate effectively with others • Ability to operate safety equipment Experience: • None MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Student Management 1. Responsible for washing the interior (i.e., windows, dash area, seats, seatbelts, ceiling, walls, mops floor, remove trash and gum, etc.) and exterior (i.e., windows, tires, rims, etc.) of District buses. Safety 1. Operate equipment according to established safety procedures. 2. Follow established procedures and techniques to perform job duties. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None. MENTAL DEMANDS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS Equipment Used: Broom, mop & bucket, rags, brushes, shop vac, blower, and scraper.
