Sign Language Interpreter Location: TBD POSITION DESCRIPTION Interpret between English and Sign Language at a fluent rate in an educational setting. Though the primary role of an interpreter is communication facilitation, younger students or those with delayed language may need additional direct interpreter support. The IEP team should agree upon and outline what these supports are. Interpreters are expected to foster independence by reducing the level of extraneous support as students mature.
