Please Review Before Submitting a Substitute Teaching Appplication Report to: Campus Principal or Secretary Job Goal: To enable each child to pursue his education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of his/her regular teacher.
• Reports to school office at beginning of school day to pick up required materials/schedule of classes and at the end of the school day to return materials.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Be a positive role model for students, and support the mission of the school district.
• Present subject matter according to lesson plans and/or instructions left by the absent teacher.
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, parents, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
• Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
• Maintains a neat and orderly classroom. Straightens chairs, tables, etc.
• Takes attendance in accordance with school procedures.
• Insures that the students are never left unattended in the classroom.
• Knows emergency evacuation routes for the classrooms assigned.
• Knows school procedures and regulations
• Leave detailed notes for the day's activities including classroom/individual behavioral incidents, progress in completing the lesson, and attendance notes for the absent teacher.
• Performs other related duties as directed by principal
