CERTIFIED SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS - Current, Former, or Retired LPS Teachers (2026-2027 school year) Do not apply for this position if you are NOT a current, former or retired Lincoln Public Schools Teacher. Certified Substitute Teachers – Current, Former, or Retired Teachers are individuals who have been hired as certified employees (current or former) with Lincoln Public Schools. Substitute teachers are those who hold a bachelor degree (or higher) in education. Applicants who do NOT hold a degree in education, apply for the Certified, Local Substitute Teacher, 2026-2027 application. Full Day Pay Rate: $200.46 Half Day Pay Rate: $100.22 Certification Requirement:
• Requires Nebraska Teaching (Initial, Standard or Professional) or State Substitute certificate
