Position Title Technology Technician Department Technology Department Reports To Director of Technology Employment Terms
• Full-Time Position
• 12-Month Contract
• Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications in accordance with the NCPS salary scale
Primary Responsibilities The Technology Technician will:
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff, students, and administrators
• Install, configure, maintain, and repair computers, printers, Chromebooks, interactive boards, and other technology equipment
• Assist with setup, imaging, deployment, and inventory of student and staff devices
• Support classroom and office technology systems
• Respond to technology work orders and help desk requests in a timely manner
• Assist with network-connected devices and basic network troubleshooting
• Maintain technology inventory records and documentation
• Support software installations, updates, and user account management
• Assist with cybersecurity practices and device security protocols
• Support district testing technology needs and other instructional technology initiatives
• Travel between schools and departments as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology
Qualifications Required:
• High school diploma
• Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Google Workspace, and educational technology devices
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Valid driver's license
Preferred:
• Associate degree or technical certifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience working in a K-12 educational environment
• Knowledge of networking, device management systems, and Chromebook management
• Experience with PowerSchool, Google Admin Console, or help desk systems
