About this role
GOALS: To contribute to the efficient and courteous flow of communication throughout the school system. QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of previous clerical experience, preferred.
• Proficiency with computer applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Google, and Adobe.
• Proficiency with standard office equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with staff, students, and the public.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: The High School Principal PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operates multi-positioned telephone lines to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls.
• Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, and directs or has them escorted to the appropriate person.
• Ensures that all visitors check in at the reception desk and immediately reports the presence of anyone who bypasses the check-in procedure.
• Reports any suspicious activity or unusual behavior on the part of visitors.
• Reviews student daily tardy material.
• Verifies student dismissal requests.
• Produces documents, letters, reports, and memos, as directed by administrators.
• Provides general clerical support.
• Maintains confidentiality of the office.
• All other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
EVALUATION: The High School Principal will evaluate the performance of this position. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time, school year, 38 hours
