Position Title: High School Girls Assistant Soccer Coach Job ID#: 1951 Assignment: High School Reports to: Director of Activities Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated by the Director of Activities annually Extra Duty Category: V Pay: $4,725.05 - $5,451.98 Crete Public Schools is seeking applications for a High School Girls Assistant Soccer Coach for the 2026-2027 sports season at Crete High School. This position follows the extra-duty salary schedule and terms found in the negotiated agreement. This position is open until filled. Essential Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• First Aid and CPR training required (may be obtained on the job and must be kept current).

• Must possess a motor vehicle operator's license with a certificate to operate a school vehicle.

• Coaching experience preferred.

• Ability to react well under pressure, handle and balance multiple demands at one time, work with frequent interruptions, and perform duties and tasks at expected levels of professionalism.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish trust and rapport with teachers and administrators.

• Successful completion of background check.

Required Job Tasks

• Oversee and manage the assigned team.

• Use good judgment to determine athlete participation during practices and games, including squad level and playing time.

• Positively promote the athletic program within the schools and the community.

• Assist in the selection and evaluation of assistant coaches.

• Coordinate with the Activities Director in planning and scheduling practices, announcements, competitions, and the like.

• Supervises locker rooms and playing areas during and following periods of team participation.

• Remains with students and supervises them when traveling to away events.

• Oversees and tends to injured athletes.

• Cares for and maintains equipment and annual inventories.

• Works closely with custodians in control at facilities.

• Serve as a role model to all students.

• Serve as a positive member of the community in a way that does not negatively affect the District's reputation or image in the community.

• Refrain from engaging in conduct that interferes with the operations of the District, including the education of students.

• Develop and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with other staff and administration.

• Adhere to all District policies, rules, regulations, and supervisory directives.

• Maintain confidentiality of information concerning staff, students, and parents in accordance with law and District rules.

• Adhere to the code of ethics of the District and the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE Rule 27).

At-Will Position: This position is an “at-will” position and may be terminated, with or without cause, at any time in the sole discretion of the Superintendent or Superintendent's designee. Other Responsibilities: Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Principal. FLSA Status: Exempt. Professional exemption: The employee has a primary duty of performing work requiring knowledge of an advanced type in a field of science or learning customarily acquired by a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction and study or has a primary duty of teaching, tutoring, instructing, or lecturing in the activity of imparting knowledge and is employed and engaged in this activity as a teacher. Essential Functions: The essential functions of the Coach position include: (1) regular, dependable in-person attendance on the job; (2) the ability to perform the identified tasks and to possess and utilize the identified knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the identified work activities; and, (3) the ability to perform the following identified physical requirements: Physical Requirements - Coach E = Essential NE = Non-Essential Item is not a requirement of the job Occasional - up to 33% of time Occasional - up to 33% of time, absolutely essential to the job Frequent - between 34%-66% of time Continuous - over 66% of time
