About this role
Lower Merion High School is looking for a Costume Coach for the theather department. Applicants will not be considered for an interview unless all required forms are submitted: Position Requirements:
• have good availability 3PM-6PM most weekdays and some Saturdays 10AM-2PM
• extensive sewing and garment construction skills (pattern making/draping skills a plus, but not necessary)
• knowledge of effective quick-rigging for costumes
• mentor student designers through process of designing a full-length show
• mentor and assist crew of students with sewing and construction of 5-10 pieces for each show & altering existing pieces from stock
• collaborate with Head Coach and Technical Coaches to support students
**It is important to note that our coaches serve as supports and guides through this theatrical production process. They do not write, direct, design, or run the shows. Students take on these positions and responsibilities; the coaches offer inspiration, expertise, mentorship, and training when necessary. A complete electronic application through Talent Ed. • Child Abuse History (less than 1 year old)
• FBI Fingerprint Results Letter (less than 1 year old).
