FLSA:Non-Exempt QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or GED certificate or have sufficient ability to follow written instructions, schedules, interpret recipes and do the arithmetic necessary to adjust quantities
• Willingness to participate in Food and Nutrition Service training
• Ability and initiative to plan, organize and carry out assignments with minimum of supervision
• Ability to work harmoniously with staff and students
• Physical stamina and emotional stability to work effectively
• Excellent physical and mental health
• Neat, well groomed appearance
REPORTS TO: Food and Nutrition Services Manager SUPERVISES: None JOB GOAL: Working under the direction for the Food and Nutrition Service Manager and/or assistant manager, stores, prepares and serves food and cleans equipment and food service areas TERM: Nine and one quarter (9.25) months SALARY: Food Service Salary Schedule -Worker B PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepares meats, vegetables, salads, dressings, breads, and/or desserts as directed
• Serves on serving line(s)
• Assists in storing groceries, meats, and supplies
• Cleans cooking equipment and kitchen, serving and dining areas as directed
• Assists with maintaining proper sanitation
• Attends workshops as scheduled
• Performs related duties as required
