Job Title: Delivery Inventory Clerk Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Cooridinator of Asset Managment Pay Grade: District's Manual Trades Salary Schedule - Pay Grade 03 Dept./School: Custodial Department/ Date Revised: December 15, 2016 School Support Services District Primary Purpose: To assist and promote La Joya ISD in implementing a rigorous curriculum/instructional program that supports student success and achievement. Department Primary Purpose: To assist the Custodial Department in the distribution of district custodial supplies. Qualifications: Education/Certification: Eight grade or higher Forklift Certification (must attain within one (1) month of employment) Valid Texas Driver's License Experience/Knowledge: Must be able to follow instructions provided in written and oral form. Must be able to read and comprehend safety rules and operating and procedure manuals. Must be able to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment. Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jack. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle. Warehouse experience preferred. Major Responsibilities and Duties:
• Deliver custodial supplies to all districts campuses.
• Deliver supplies and material request.
• Stock merchandise in the warehouse.
• Process supply orders to and from campuses, departments and administration offices.
• Verify merchandise delivered to campuses with campus head custodian.
• Assist head custodian with the proper storage of custodial supplies at the campuses.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance reports.
• Report vehicle maintenance concerns and parts in need of repair to immediate supervisor.
• Be able to drive and operate a forklift.
• Secure and safeguard supplies and equipment against theft and damages.
• Assist with the cleaning of the custodial warehouse and storage room.
• Assist with the pick up and transport of large and small equipment.
• Participate in meetings, trainings and workshops as requested.
• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information as may be
appropriate and expected of this position.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands: Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); ability to meet established deadlines. Ability to maintain emotional control under stress; ability to work independently of others. Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Regular lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 40 lbs. Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 lbs. Drive and operate forklift. Frequent standing, walking, pushing, climbing, pulling, stooping, bending and kneeling. May be subjected to adverse and hazardous working conditions, exposure to dust, toxic chemicals and materials, slippery or uneven walking surfaces. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Ability to work around moving objects and vehicles. Repetitive hand motions. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
