Position Description POSITION TITLE: Substitute Cafeteria Worker FLSA: Non-Exempt QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current TB test.
• Food Saftey Certification.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Ability to accurately count, weigh, and measure.
• Ability to follow instructions and take initiative in performance of assigned tasks.
• Physical ability to walk, stoop, stand, twist, and squat on a constant basis.
• Lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must work in a hot, humid environment.
• Must work in a cold, or below zero environment for short periods.
REPORTS TO: Cafeteria Manager/Building Administrator TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Daily contracted services for the current school year. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Demonstrate an interest in objectives of the School Nutrition Program and have a concern for the welfare of children.
• Interact with staff, students, faculty, visitors, and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, holding, service, and storage of left-overs.
• Adhere to all HACCP guidelines.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Report to work at scheduled time with proper uniform and appropriately groomed.
• Adhere to all school district and building rules and regulations.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and seminars as scheduled.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.
