CCPS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER 2026-2027 School Year, Location TBA The Craig County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for a special education teacher for the 2026 - 2027 school year. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Hold a current Virginia Teacher's License with appropriate endorsement in the area to which assigned
• Have effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Have knowledge of medical aspects of disabilities and their implications for instruction
• Have knowledge of resources and techniques needed to integrate special education students into the least restrictive environment
• Have experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans
• Have experience and expertise in using technology in education
• Have experience or working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration, and coursework
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and families
• Demonstrate the ability to be dependable and punctual
