About this role
Seeking qualified individual to serve as head coach during the 2017-2018 Fall sports season. This extra-curricular activity is overseen by the Martinsville City Public Schools Athletic Director. This position is currently open to internal and external applicants. Closing Date: Open until filled Coaching Stipend: Paid as a one-time stipend at the end of the sports season Qualifications:
• Knowledge of the sport; special training preferred
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work collaboratively with staff and administrators in the coordination of the program
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with students and parents
• Ability to model and promote a culture of high expectations for academics and sportsmanship
• Experience working with diverse populations including students with disabilities and students who are English language learners
• Previous coaching experience preferred
