Position is 12 Months Monday through Friday. 7.5 hours a day. 6:00 AM- 2:30 PM. 1 Hour for Lunch. Job Goal: To assure maximum productivity and effective application of his skills in the electrical occupation while maintaining school plant facilities at standards acceptable to the School Board and within established electrical codes. Qualification\Certifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Performs work involving installation and maintenance of electrical service components up to 200 amp capacity. 2. Maintains electrical panels, and switch gear energized with 115, 208/200, 277, 440/480 voltages. 3. Maintain electrical control systems for air conditioning, heating, lighting, class bells, fire alarms and lighting systems. 4. Maintains stadium lights and circuitry distribution both underground and overhead. 5. Must be knowledgeable in the circuitry for food service appliance motors and exhaust systems. 6. Read construction blue prints, factory details and circuitry schematics related to the accomplishment of daily assignments. 7. Develops labor and material cost as required in planning by assignment. 8. Insures a safe, working environment for the accomplishment of each assignment. 9. Sets an example for the best standards of productivity, effectiveness and professional presentation. 10. Bends conduit, Ridgid and EMT up to 4". 11. Uses knowledge related to wire pullers, hydraulic pipe benders, and electric pipe dies. 12. Sizes electric motors for specific loads. 13. Checks and restores circuitry for motors, wires motor starters, contractors, and related controls. 14. Changes burned out motors when replacement is required in all mechanical systems installed in schools. 15. Estimates man-hours and material costs. 16. Figures load requirements from KW ratings for single and three phase circuits for all voltages. 17. Figures wire, conduit, magnetic starters, contractors, and thermal overload sizes for all circuits. 18. Assumes responsibility for tools, vehicles and/or materials that are issued to complete job assignment. 19. Abides by and facilitates adherence to all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures; maintains professional ethical standards; maintains high level of professional development/knowledge. 20. Maintain the District’s intercom systems. 21. Other duties as may be (1) temporarily and/or sporadically assigned by the supervisor and/or the Board, (2) permanently reassigned and specific changes noted and signed by the Supervisor.
