About this role

2026-2027 School Year 1.5 hours per day Qualifications: High School Diploma - Preferred: 32 college hours, or experience in Daycare setting, or Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or similar Reports To: Preschool Principal Performance Responsibilities:

• Supervise, nurture and provide care of children enrolled in Daycare.

• Assist in preparing food, feeding, serving meals and refreshments to children and regulate rest periods.

• Perform personal hygiene routines. Including but not limited to diapering, wiping hands, faces, and changing soiled clothing.

• Maintain a working knowledge of child care regulation and best practices.

• Work collaboratively with other professionals with creating and implementing curriculum that promotes children's physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth.

• Comfort children to promote emotional regulation.

• Perform cleaning routines, including but not limited to sanitizing toys, tables, play equipment and classroom areas.

• Maintain order within the classroom and facility by organizing and storing toys as directed by Administrative staff.

• Perform clerical duties such as preparing instructional materials, tracking and maintaining health documentation, preparing parent and community communication, and maintaining compliance records.

• Work collaboratively with other professionals in modifying the learning environment to facilitate learning and manage behavior.

• Work collaboratively with other professionals in record keeping and monitoring student progress.

• Frequently lift children and classroom materials up to 50 pounds.

• Frequently walk, stand, reach, bend, stoops and crawl.

• Model and encourage respect and value for individual differences.

• Participate in professional development/training related to job responsibilities.

• Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations by interacting effectively with and demonstrating respect for the views, rights and contributions of parents, teachers and other school personnel.

• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of students and staff.

• Administer health services to students as necessary including, but not limited to, the administration of medication; the operation, maintenance, or health care through the use of medical equipment; or the administration of clinical procedures.

• Maintain appropriate professional appearance.

• Act as a consistent positive public relations agent for school and district programs and activities.

• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding individual students and their families.

• Implement and adhere to all rules and regulations, policies, administrative guidelines, and directives as adopted by the Board of Education, Principal, Administrative Staff, and Superintendent.

• Maintain acceptable personal attendance without repeated unexcused absences, tardiness, absences without notification, or abuse of sick leave.

• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Principal, Administrative Staff, or Superintendent of Schools.
