About this role
Migrant Education Program Tutor Basic Function: Plan, organize and implement lessons for students primarily in reading and math. Coordinate with Migrant Coordinator to implement reading and math strategies that coordinate with the students individualized needs. Responsibilities:
• Provide tutoring or other academic assistance to migrant students as needed
• Meet with child as necessary to determine level of success and possible needs
• Review achievement data and maintain contact with migrant child's teacher to determine level of academic need for migrant students
• Assist in the resolution of issues that may hinder student success in the school and community
• Maintain a log documenting services provided to students
• Maintain log of contacts and collaborative efforts with instructional personnel
• Maintain confidentiality as in accordance with FERPA laws
• Abide by school and district policies in all activities
• All other duties assigned by supervisor

Education and Experience: Tutors must have a high school diploma. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience working with children. Terms of Employment: Tutor will complete a contract of 180 days.
