Food service staff play an important role in supporting student health, wellness, and learning by preparing and serving nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment. Opportunities are available for Food Service Workers, Cooks, and Unit Leads at locations throughout the District. • High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in food service, food preparation, customer service, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling practices preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain established procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact positively with students, staff, and visitors.
• Ability to operate food service equipment and point-of-sale systems, or willingness to learn.
• SERV Safe certification preferred for Cook and Unit Lead positions.
• Experience with food preparation and kitchen operations preferred for Cook and Unit Lead positions.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment.
