POSITION: ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM TEACHERS LONG-TERM AND EXTENDED SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS LOCATION: DISTRICTWIDE EFFECTIVE DATE: 2026 - 2027 SCHOOL YEAR COMPENSATION: LTS POSITIONS - PER RTMEA CONTRACT STARTING SALARY RANGE $68,300 (Bachelor's - Step 1) to $84,300 (Master's - Step 6) EXTENDED SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS – KELLY EDUCATION, $180/day The Rose Tree Media School District is seeking dynamic and student-centered applicants to be considered for anticipated long-term substitute and extended substitute positions at the elementary level for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions focus on developing foundational literacy, numeracy, social, and behavioral skills that support student growth and independence. The ideal candidates create a structured and engaging classroom environment, deliver developmentally appropriate instruction, and foster a positive learning experience for all students. • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (PreK–4 or PreK–6) required.
• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Elementary Education.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in literacy and mathematics.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and support student growth.
• Knowledge of child development and the ability to provide developmentally appropriate instruction for early elementary students.
• Strong classroom management skills that support a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
• Experience implementing evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies.
• Experience integrating technology and digital tools to support instruction and student engagement.
• Current required background clearances (see below).
