TITLE: BCBA LOCATION: Kingston Intermediate School (As an intermediate school, Kingston Intermediate School educates students is grades 3 through 6.) anticipates an opening for the 26-27 SY. POSITION SUMMARY: The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for supporting the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success of students in grades 3–6. The BCBA collaborates closely with administrators, teachers, related service providers, families, and community agencies to develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based behavioral interventions and supports. The BCBA serves as a resource to staff by providing consultation, training, and coaching to promote positive student outcomes and a supportive school environment. The BCBA should be able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing. They will report directly to the Principal REPORTS TO: They will report directly to the Principal. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS The behaviorist must have professional certification in a relevant field. Examples include licensure as a special educator, social worker, psychologist, applied behavior analyst or Board Certified Behavioral Analyst. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Candidates should have experience as a behaviorist, or in another similar role. All prospective employees must undergo state-mandated criminal background checks (ie., CORI, SORI, and SAFSIS) and be deemed suitable for employment. This is expected to be a one year appointment and commensurate with the CBA language for compensation.
