About this role
Primary Purpose: Evaluate, intervene, consult, and deliver services as required by the school districts, community agencies, and HCDE. Qualifications: Education/Certification:
• Degree from an accredited university
• Current license issued by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Effective/efficient oral and written communication skills
• Reliable transportation to/from work and between work-sites
• Efficient mobility within the work-site
• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
• General knowledge of computer systems and software applications
• Ability to serve as supervisor for physical therapist assistant and serve as professional student supervisor
Experience:
• Experience in pediatrics and/or the school setting desirable
• One year of experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
• Use evidence in practice, evaluation, data collection, documentation and recommendations.
• Evaluate to determine educational need for services.
• Provide intervention to support student participation and performance in accordance with state laws and/or professional standards.
• Document and maintain service-related records.
• Participate in professional growth activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
