MADISON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT #38 TITLE: ON CALL BOX OFFICE ATTENDANT SALARY SCHEDULE: Extra Duty/On Call Theater $18.00/HOUR SUPERVISION: Supervised by the Box Office Manager OVERVIEW: The Box Office Attendant is an outgoing, detail-oriented individual responsible for day-to-day box office duties and responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Possess or ability to obtain a fingerprint clearance card.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English with individuals and groups both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to relate to public, staff and students in a positive manner.

• Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service/sales skills.

• Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as a team.

• Ability to listen to concerns and resolve problems creatively.

• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• AudienceView experience (preferred).

• Prior experience handling cash and balancing a till.

• Ability to work efficiently with little or no supervision.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:

• Assist customers with purchase of tickets over the internet, telephone and in-person.

• Operate ticketing system and follow box office procedures.

• Present a positive and welcoming first impression to customers.

• Provide customers with expedient responses to requests and issues, using a broad, precise knowledge of The Madison Center for the Arts performances, policies, and services.

• Provide quality customer service by responding in a timely manner, to walk-in customers, phone calls, or e-mail.

• Meet the obligations of the position by completing other duties as assigned.

• Prepare box office reports as required for the Box Office Manager.

• Reconcile cash sales at the beginning and end of shifts.

• Demonstrate discretion and professional behavior handling confidential information.

• Uphold Madison Center for the Arts policies and procedures and represent Madison Center for the Arts and Madison School District in a professional and welcoming manner at all times.

NOTE: Applicants may be required to have daytime availability. This position is an on-call position.
