Job Title: Diagnostician Reports To: Director of Special Education Organization: Tejano Center Division: RYSS Texas Public Schools Location: District Office POSITION SUMMARY The Educational Diagnostician is responsible for evaluating students suspected of having disabilities and determining eligibility for special education services. This position collaborates with campus staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive appropriate educational support and services. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree from an accredited college or university. • Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification or LSSP credential. • Minimum of three years of educational experience preferred. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations using appropriate assessment tools and procedures. • Analyze and interpret assessment data to determine educational needs and eligibility for special education services. • Conduct classroom and behavioral observations as part of the evaluation process. • Prepare and maintain accurate Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE) reports. • Participate in and facilitate MDT, ARD, and IEP meetings. • Present evaluation findings and provide recommendations regarding eligibility, accommodation, and interventions. • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and parents. • Review and interpret outside evaluations and records. • Assist campuses with Child Find activities and compliance requirements. • Provide professional development and consultation to staff. • Maintain evaluation records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. • Perform other duties as assigned. **PLEASE OPEN ATTACHMENT FOR COMPLETE JOB DESCRIPTION DUTIES**
