Summary Childress Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Elementary Teacher. This full-time position requires a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students in grades K-5. The successful candidate will inspire young learners, promote academic excellence, and support the social and emotional development of each child. Responsibilities - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and the school's curriculum. - Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. - Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal methods, providing timely feedback to students and parents. - Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with special needs and English language learners. - Foster a love of learning by incorporating creative teaching methods and hands-on activities. - Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student learning and development. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation. - Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with educational best practices. - Uphold school policies and procedures, promoting a safe and respectful environment for all students. - Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field. - Valid teaching certification or license for elementary education. - Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage with parents and the community. - Proficient in using technology and educational software to enhance learning. - Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. - Experience in teaching or student teaching at the elementary level is preferred. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
