The Maquoketa Valley School District has an opening for a bus driver for Part-Time possibly moving into Full-Time. Applicants must have a CDL with a school bus passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain one. The district will support an individual through the license process if needed. To inquire please call Craig Wilson 319-480-6755. Job Description: We are looking for a reliable School Bus Driver to join our team. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students to and from school and extracurricular events, following a scheduled route and ensuring the safety of all passengers. Your duties will include conducting pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition, observing safety and traffic rules during the journey, and maintaining order and discipline among students on the bus. Additionally, you will be expected to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. Responsibilities Transport children and other passengers to and from school Obey all traffic laws to ensure students arrive to their destination safely Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times Ensure the safety of all students when entering and leaving the bus Assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed Engage with students as they enter and leave the bus
