Qualifications/Requirements: Applicant must: possess valid School Psychology License. Prefer candidate with minimum of a Master’s Degree or Alternate Pathways with Nationally Certified School Psychologist Credentiality be aware of the social and emotional needs of each individual student possess strong oral and written communication skills demonstrate an understanding of child development demonstrate a strong understanding of effective interventions for students with pervasive developmental disorders demonstrate the ability to work, collaborate and communicate with parents, students, and staff in a school setting demonstrate the ability to assess student needs and determine appropriate recommendations be familiar with developmental patterns of children and youth be willing to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team document recent professional growth activities possess knowledge and understanding of various individual ability, achievement tests, behavior assessments, and working memory assessments be resourceful in working with staff and parents to plan appropriate intervention demonstrate knowledge of the Ohio Model Policies and Procedures for the Education of Children with Disabilities be acceptable to the Director of Student Services and Assistant Superintendent of Certificated/Licensed Personnel Deadline for Application: April 7, 2026 Effective Starting Date: 2026-2027 Additional Information:Please see Job Description attached JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:Hold a School Psychologist Licensure Has appropriate rapport with children Demonstrates ability to manage time Demonstrates knowledge of assessment and evaluation instruments and process Has the ability to function in a team School psychologists who are fully funded as a unit in the school foundation program or with Title VI-B funds shall serve nondisabled children only after all disabled or suspected disabled children have received appropriate psychological services. The services of the school psychologist shall include: Providing the intensive psycho-educational evaluation of individual children identified as or thought to be disabled. Contributing to the written report of the multi-factored evaluation team and delineating the results of the psycho-education evaluation for consideration in the development of the IEP for each disabled child studies. Contributing to a multi-factored evaluation, utilizing diagnostic instruments and techniques appropriate for the area of disability or suspected disability, as part of the multidisciplinary team. Consulting with teachers, parents and other educational personnel on matters relating to the education and/or mental health of disabled children to insure the provision of the most appropriate education program. The services of the school psychologist may include: Serving as a consultant to the schools in the development of educational evaluation and accountability procedures, pupil and personnel policies, in service activities, curriculum and staff development. Assisting educational staff in implementing or modifying instructional strategies, classroom management procedures, intervention strategies and follow-up activities. Directing and supervising the activities of the school psychology interns. Facilitating a differentiated referral system allowing school personnel and parents to request intensive psycho-educational evaluation and evaluation and/or consultation of nondisabled children.
