About this role
Scope of Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist students with on-task behavior and completion of teacher assigned tasks
• Assist students with questions regarding assignments
• Accompany/escort students in exploratory classes and therapy sessions as needed
• Supervise independent or small group work
• Assist in necessary record keeping including data collection (ie. Applied Behavior Analysis)
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials and supplies and clean up
• Administer alternative testing accommodations when needed
• Proctor exams
• Escort students to various parts of the building
• Assist with student arrival and departure
• Attend to students physical needs including, toileting, lifting for transfers to/from wheelchair
• Attend to students medical needs under direction of school nurse
• Monitor and implement behavior intervention plans
• Accompany students and participate in all physical activities including APE and Swimming
• Follow directions of classroom teacher, therapists or other professional staff
• Will complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
