TITLE: English Language Arts Teacher REPORTS TO: Principal SUPERVISES: N/A TERM: 10 months JOB GOAL: Work with students to help them learn concepts in English QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING:
• Hold appropriate Tennessee certification license
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Effective decision-making and verbal and written communication skills
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide an instructional program that is differentiated.
• Commitment to high student achievement & support for all students.
• Knowledge of the subject matter being taught.
• Ability to exercise various teaching strategies to increase students' critical thinking skills
• Create a secure classroom climate.
• Analyze data and adjust your lessons accordingly.
• Plan, develop, implement, and monitor, with student success as your goal.
• Use available technology in your lessons.
• Communicate effectively with parents and students.
• Assist with others duties as assigned by the Principal
