RATE OF PAY Sub $28.59 Per hour after completion of training. FUNCTION: Drives bus to transport students over specified routes according to time schedule. Comply with traffic regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Drives a school bus safely and professionally; Handles stressful conditions in a professional manner; Performs and properly completes daily pre-trip inspections; Complies with all traffic ordinances; Complies with discipline policies set forth in the Code of Conduct for Transportation; Must have patience, be neat and personable, kind and courteous; Participates in on-site training; Shows proficiency in handling and maneuvering school bus; Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises students while transporting them. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must be able to pass a physical exam, including drug testing. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, REQUIREMENTS: $27.76 per hour (not benefit eligible). In order to qualify for this position, you must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED), pass a DOT pre-employment physical and drug screen, pass an Oregon Department of Education background check, provide a 3 to 5 year driving record and obtain a CLP (Commercial Learner Permit) prior to start. This is a non-represented position.
