About this role
Sub nurses will:
• assist the Campus RN when needed • act as Campus Nurse when Nurse is absent Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program • Valid license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners • Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening • CPR Certification Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Physical, mental, social & emotional nursing assessment skills • Nursing skills and knowledge specific to pediatric nursing • Ability to develop student specific case management plans for chronic and acute medical conditions. • Work autonomously in school clinical setting

• Substitutes are eligible to elect benefits once worked average of 10 hours a week over first 90 days serving in a Substitute capacity. • Substitute pay will reflect FICA and income tax withholdings based on the W-4. • For details visit https://www.aledoisd.org/Page/5897 Next steps: - Once processed you will receive a welcome email with more details. - You will receive an email to have your fingerprints taken by TEA. This will come from Identogo, not Aledo ISD. - You will attend one of our orientations, an invite to the next one will be sent to you to RSVP. - When we have received clear fingerprint results, and you have attended orientation, verbal references will be obtained. - When digital and verbal references have been received we will send your application for approval to hire as a substitute. - If approved you will receive paperwork to complete online and then come in to the office to sign final documents and pick up your iIDbadge.
