SUMMARY: The Miller City - New Cleveland Local School District (Putnam County) is seeking qualified applicants for a Classroom Aide/Paraprofessional serving Miller City - New Cleveland Local School District beginning in the 2026-27 school year. DISTRICT PROFILE: Miller City-New Cleveland Local School is a rural school in Putnam County, Ohio with a Grades K-12 enrollment of approximately 530 students. The district has consistently ranked in the top 5% of Ohio public schools in terms of the performance index measure attached to state standardized testing. JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Regular Classrooms: Lead small groups in primary classrooms as assigned Co-teach under the direction of the Intervention Specialists Small group work Assist teachers with projects, grading, making quizzes, organization, and cleaning Special Education: Bus Shuttle rider as per IEP needs Complete medication training for administering purposes as needed Reading tests & quizzes to students as per IEP needs Homework assistance during student intervention times 1-on-1 Environments: Formal assessments Work 1 on 1 on assessments Kindergarten classroom Intervention Specialist classroom Other classrooms as assigned Approach to learning: Mastering a certain subject matter Mastering a certain skill Assistance with student communication O.T./ P.T. exercises as needed Other duties: Recess duty as assigned Monitor study hall as assigned Assistance with state-standardized testing Learning and programming communication devices Be able to adapt to schedule changes Communicate problems, issues, and student praises to teachers and other aides Provide students with a listening ear, encouragement, and compassion CERTIFICATION: Educational Aide Permit (may apply during hiring process) SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary: Per salary schedule (commensurate with education and experience levels) Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance coverage available; Sick leave/personal leave HOW TO APPLY: Candidates are asked to submit the following: A letter of application emphasizing qualifications and reasons for interest, an up-to-date resume, professional recommendation letters, and a copy of any valid educational/professional license.
