Seeking a part-time Adult Education Instructor, emphasis on math. We are looking for a certified teacher for an Adult Education Instructor position. This position includes day and some evening hours. Position is based in Naples and includes some regular hours in Fryeburg. Major Job Responsibilities: Develop and deliver curriculum specifically for math, from basic literacy level through high school completion and college preparation Work collaboratively with staff and other teachers to provide optimal learning experience for learners with diverse needs and backgrounds Provide instruction in multiple academic areas, with appropriate qualifications - required Schedule: Up to 15 hours per week for 45 weeks between July 1 through June 30. Compensation: Non-benefitted, $32/hour
Qualifications: Possesses or can demonstrate eligibility for a Maine teaching credential. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching academic subjects to adult learners Familiarity with content standards and proficiency-based instruction Knowledge of modern office technology and software, including learning management systems and student information systems Self-driven, positive, creative, systems thinker, and passionate about education
