Summary: The Manager 2 – Braille Production leads and oversees all Braille production services for Hillsborough County Public Schools. This position requires extensive knowledge of Braille production, Braille equipment/programs, and materials to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality Braille and tactile graphics for students with visual impairments. The manager directs daily operations, supervises Braille Specialists, and oversees staff training, recruitment, and performance. The position collaborates with the Supervisor (Sensory Programs), Coordinator for the Visually Impaired program, and Lead Teacher to ensure efficient operations, continuous improvement, compliance with district, state, and federal requirements, and high-quality service delivery. The manager is also responsible for coaching, evaluating, and supporting staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Experience: One (1) year of increasingly responsible experience a management position directly involved in the supervision of personnel, material resources, or large amounts of funds. Experience as described above may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the educational requirement. A master’s degree or higher in Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field may substitute for one year of the experience requirement.
