About this role
Positions are for the 26/27 Calendar Year Postions open at GN, PCMS, and PHS Qualifications:
__Ability to read, write and speak English, and one or more langauages preferably. __Minimum 48 hours of college credit, associate degree, or completion of the Para Pro Exam. __Interest in and respect for a variety of cultures. __Must be able to work effectively with several teachers and students at different grade levels, and at various content areas.
Functions and Responsibilities
__Assist teachers with providing instruction to students who have been identified as English Language Learners. __Assist teachers in establishing a positive learning environment, based on the individual needs of students. __Assist with school-community communication by translating and interpreting. __React to change proactively and handle other tasks as assigned. __Support the philosophy and mission of USD 250. __Communicates effectively with all members of the school district and community. __Performing other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements/Environmentatl Conditions
__Requires frequent standing, walking and handling. __Requires occasional sitting, crouching, crawling, balancing, feeling, stooping and stairs. __Must be able to lift, carry and push/pull 20-50 pounds.
