About this role
Mechanic 3 | 8 Hours | 12 Month Calendar Internal Classified employees are not eligible to apply for open positions during their probationary period of employment. Hiring Administrator: Jason Wildenborg GENERAL DUTIES: Investigate vehicle problems and perform skilled repairs to District vehicles. Coordinate the work of other mechanics to complete maintenance projects. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
• Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
• Hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a valid Oregon School Bus Driver's Certificate or be able to obtain both within 60 days
• Hold an Oregon Department of Education Technician Certification, or be able to obtain one within six months
• Hold a DEQ Certification, or be able to obtain it within nine months
• Three years of experience maintaining and repairing large vehicle engines
• Pass a pre-employment drug test
